Ear, nose and throat surgeons Dr Rob Morrissey and Dr Paul Varley opened
the South Australian Cochlear Implant Centre in July 2004. As of May
3rd 2011,
SACIC is providing care for 274 cochlear implant recipients of whom 34 have a cochlear implant in both ears. Since its inception
SACIC has carried out 244 cochlear implant operations.
