Christopher Lind

In 2019 Christopher stepped down as Associate Professor in the Master of Audiology program at Flinders University, where he was actively involved in teaching and research for 20 years. He has also taught at LaTrobe University in Victoria and at the University of Queensland where he completed his PhD in 2006.
Christopher has more than 20 years of clinical experience in Audiology, gained at the H.E.A.R. Service of the Victorian Deaf Society and Flinders University. His major clinical interests include adult hearing rehabilitation with special interests in conversation breakdown and repair in acquired hearing impairment, as well as psychosocial aspects of hearing impairment and the impact on the communication partners of those who have hearing loss.
Christopher has been an invited speaker at international conferences in North America, the UK and in Europe. He was invited onto the Faculty of the Ida Institute in Copenhagen in 2010 and was invited to participate in the World Health Organisation’s Consensus Conference on Hearing Impairment also in Copenhagen, in 2012. He was a visiting academic / clinician at Southampton University / South of England Cochlear Implant Centre in March 2012 and a Visiting International Scholar at the Faculty of Health Sciences' National Centre for Audiology, University of Western Ontario in Canada in 2013.
Christopher brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience as SACIC’s rehabilitation specialist, supporting our clients to achieve their hearing and communication goals.
